A free and open source app for designing and maintaining rainwater harvesting systems with covered storage tanks
Features
- Allows you to set your daily water budget.
- Downloads the past daily rainfall records for your location and displays them. Powered by Visual Crossing Weather
- Uses your water budget and the past daily rainfall records to suggest optimum tank sizes.
- Helps you plan for water shortages and droughts by estimating the amount of water available in next thirty days.
- Allows you to keep a water diary to record amount of water harvested, potability of water, and a record of maintenance.
Status- The iOS version of SimTanka is ready for beta testing. This version requires iPhone running iOS16+

- December 18, 2022: SimTanka now uses Visual Crossing Weather API to obtain daily rainfall records for the users location (thanks to VC for supporting SimTanka!)
- March 15, 2023: SimTanka is available for testing on iPhones running iOS16+ . You will need to download TestFlight app on your iPhone to test SimTanka
